#23 Temples in Indonesia

Temples in Yogyakarta save a lot of stories about the journey of culture and society in Indonesia earlier. Most temples in Yogyakarta is a relic from the Hindu-Buddhist or Classical Indonesia. Temple is one of the ancestral cultural heritage in addition to the palace, bathhouse, gate and so that you can find in Yogyakarta.

1. Candi Banyu Nibo

Banyu Temple Nibo which means "water drip"is a relic of Buddha from the 9th century, located in the complex SKSD Palapa, Piyungan, DIY. Given its remote location in the middle of rice fields and banana groves, away from the group of Buddhist temples others, causing some people call it "Sebatangkara Banyu Nibo". 

2. Candi Barong

Candi Barong is located in the area Sambirejo, Prambanan. Hindu heritage temple is expected to be built around ke-9/10 century. Page Barong temple is divided into three parts, the higher the more backward. On the third terrace, the very top, is the most sacred pages.
